As of July 2023, QCE is available through a virtual appliance which runs in VirtualBox 7.0.8 (+ extension pack 7.0.8).

Download the virtual appliance by clicking here for a Windows XP version (749 MB).

Load the .ova file in VMBox 7.0.8. After a while, you should see a green background with the QCE icon on it. Clicking this icon should start QCE.

As of April 2021, QCE is available through a virtual appliance which runs in VirtualBox 6.1.

Download the virtual appliance by clicking here for a Windows 98 version (164 MB) or here for a Windows XP version (749 MB). Load the .ova file in VMBox (make sure you have version 6.1 or later).

During startup of the Windows 98 version, you may see a Window 98 login box asking for a password. Simply click on OK. After a while, you should see a green background with the QCE icon on it. Clicking this icon should start QCE.

Installation on W98/NT4/W2000/Me/(XP+SP1)/Win7 only
To install QCE: Run the installation file INST-QCE.EXE . Respond to the questions asked.
An uninstall procedure is included in the distribution file.
